Friends Forever With Seperate Hearts

The blonde boy walked home with the small necklace around his neck. "Hinata is so nice..." He walked a little slower. "Why can't everyone be like her?" He stopped and looked down at his feet and thought hard on how nice she was compared to the other villagers. His head tilted as he watched a little lady bug try to get on its legs again. He bent down and carefully flipped it over and watched it walk away. "Don't give up little bug." He laughed to himself.

The sun began to go down on that day. Hinata Hyuga lost sight of Neji. "Neji-san! Neji-san!" She screamed. The forest was dark, and many dangerous creatures lurked at night. She heard a twig snap and ran off deeper into the forest. She had no idea where she was. She tripped over the root of a tree and sprang her ankle. She cried quietly and clutched her leg. Something in the back of her mind kept screaming Naruto's name.

She finally took enough of her head screaming. "NARUTO-KUN!" She cried out.

Naruto heard his name. 'That voice...' Suddenly, something bumped into him. "Naruto, oh thank goodness..." Neji panted. "Have you seen Hinata?" Neji kept panting. Naruto's face was covered in confusion. "Didn't she leave with you?" He asked the Hyuga. Neji shook his head frantically. "I've got to find her!" Neji began to run off before Naruto grabbed his wrist. "I think I heard her a bit ago. Her voice came from the direction of the forest." Naruto pointed to the forest. "Let's go." They said in unison.

Hinata crawled away as fast as her small body would go. She then heard another twig snap. "Please don't hurt me!" She curled up. "What are you talking about baka!" Ino laughed; Sasuke followed behind her. "Why are you out in the woods little girl?" Ino joked a bit evilly. "You know, we should probably get the Hyuga home..." Sasuke helped Hinata up. Ino's jealousy ignited as she pushed Hinata back down.

"What was that for?!" Sasuke snapped at her. "She's that girl who was helping that Kyuubi kid!" Ino snarled and walked away. Sasuke smiled at Hinata and helped her back up. "Don't fret over Ino's words, she's actually very nice and sweet when you get to know her." Sasuke chuckled and took Hinata by the hand. "Let me help you out of the woods." Hinata smiled and followed Sasuke out.

Naruto and Neji were close behind, but they had no idea where they were going. "Neji, are we lost?" Naruto crossed his arms. "Hinata should be around here somewhere right?" He kept questioning. "Will you be quiet?" Neji looked back. A small scream was heard in the distance. "Hinata!" Naruto yelled. Neji grabbed Naruto by his collar and drug him to the source of the noise.

Sasuke and Hinata were on the ground. "Don't dare hurt her!" Sasuke growled and went after the wolf that had attacked Hinata. "Naruto, go look after Hinata!" Neji said as they reached Sasuke and Hinata. Neji grabbed a small kunai and sliced the wolf as much as he needed to. Naruto picked Hinata up and ran off. Sasuke left to his own home; scared of the trouble he might have caused for his clan.

Neji followed after Naruto and Hinata. "S-Sasuke-kun...?" Hinata opened her eyes. "No, no Hinata, its me, and Neji." Naruto smiled as they walked. Hinata blushed cherry red and smiled. "Sorry I caused so much trouble..." Hinata looked down.

Naruto and Neji smiled bigger and stopped at the compound opening. "I'll take it from here Naruto." Neji smiled and took Hinata. Naruto kissed Hinata's forehead and bid them farewell. "Friends forever..." Naruto whispered.
